Patchogue Man Arrested for Garden City Occupied Burglary

Luis Lucero-Corte, 42, was charged with burglary and possession of a forged Social Security card.

A Patchogue man was arrested Tuesday in connection with an occupied home burglary in Garden City last month, according to Garden City detectives.

A joint investigation by Garden City and Nassau County detectives led them to Luis Lucero-Corte, 42, who was arrested at his home and charged with burglary and possession of a forged Social Security card.

At 1:20 a.m. Oct. 21, police say a Garden City resident awoke to Lucero-Corte inside her bedroom. He fled the house with no reported proceeds, according to the police report.

It is unknown at this time why Lucero-Corte targeted the residence, Garden City police commissioner Kenneth Jackson said.
