Tremont PTA Holding Fundraiser for Family That Lost Home in Fire

Print out the flyer and eat at McDonald's on Thursday to help Medford family.

The Tremont Elementary School PTA is holding a fundraiser for a Medford family that lost their home in a fire last week.

The fundraiser is in conjunction with the Medford McDonald's (at 1710 Route 112), which is run a "McCash Night" Thursday. A portion of every purchase made between noon-7 p.m. that day will be donated to the family. (Note-you must print out the flyer attached to this article and bring it to McDonald's)

No one was home at the time of the fire last Wednesday afternoon on Maple Street, but two cats and two dogs perished in the blaze.

A friend of the family has also started an online fundraiser on the site FundRazr. On it, Maxinne Daly writes: "Luci and Judy have lost their home and pets due to a fire. They need to find a home immediately! Their clothing and most everything else is gone. All of the Christmas presents for Judy's daughters, ages 15 and 9 were destroyed in the fire as well. Ironically Luci is a retired EMT who worked during the 9/11 tragedy. Please help! Every little bit can make a difference to help them get back on their feet. Thank you in advance.~Maxinne and Theresa"
